Try 8 years and 150K miles... The last time I adjusted the valves was February of 2003.. It has 1700 road course miles on it, over 6,000 RPM...overspray wrote:But then again my engine and tranny are still in my car three years running now....
23K on an oil change, thats better than the liffe xpectency of 3 performance T1 engines..
and it still doesn't leak a drop of oil :-)

Sure about that?? I have rattled the rod bearings through 3 turns at Roebling road and its still together!
Thats not drag racing, its 40 minutes of solid punishment, about 250 miles in a single weekend all at damn near red line:-)

I think you should let Charles have it for a weekend. If he can't break it, he might become a convert.

It's not like you have to go 70 to get on a trailer.....no problem.Thang wrote:Put over 25 miles on it tonight. Finished seating the rings according to Jake's info and damn . . . . . . . . . . . it do sound GOOD! Sure as hell is squirrelly above 70mph though!

Told ya so... Your welcome... Glad you like my tune up...
squirrely above 70?? Must be that damn narrowed beam and the roller blades you have up front for tires!!
beth car starts to smooth out at 80 and at 90 she is just plain planted on the road :-) Must be the factory rack and pinion and post "Farmall era" front suspension...
