SEVWA's Big Bug Shootout #4 held at Piedmont Dragway near Greensboro, NC August 24th
All VW Show, Swap Meet and Drag Racing.
This event will feature the ECPRA Pro Stocks and the Street Challenge.
There will be Pro Stock Qualifying on Saturday evening. More details to follow.

Attention all show car participants..... there will be some class changes starting at this event. More information will be coming, so stay tuned.

I'll be there. The tranny is back in just have to get the backing plates on then it is complete. I went to pick up the heads today and whoever did the last valve job SUCKED. Just drilling a hole in a chunk of metal and dropping a valve in it would seal just as good as mine were sealing. I pick 'em up thursday so then I'll have a little bit of time to get it back together before Piedmont. I'm hoping between the bad sealing valves and adding a set of dual carbs I should pick up a little bit of power.

Well I finally got lil wheezy back together and all seems to be running ok. I've got a little bit of tuning left. Hopefully I can stop the points hemmorage at this race.

Hey OS are you coming to this one? If so can you bring my window sticker?

In the Bracket section, it certainly was a close call in the Super Pro finals with Clint Woolard and David Grayson. Clint Woolard just barely took the win with a .027rt 7.07di 7.073et 94.85mph to Dave's .060rt 5.20di 5.237et 132.43mph. The Pro Class brought out local Brandon Lopp and West Virgina's Gary Zipperian. Gary's crew was absent this go around, but that didn't stop Gary from taking his first WIN at an SEVWA event! The Sportsman finals brought out The 2007 Champion Johnie Walker and newcomer Wayne Harron. Johnie took to the win, thanks to Wayne's red light! Take a look in the race winners section for numbers from these final runs.

Johnie was all for doing the Street CHallenge, but we just didn't have anyone else! So I guess it only going to be one time a year at the Silver Dollar event!

Been out a while. I scared off ole' 55 I guess. I think I'll just go after the points now. Blackie has a new trans. and some fresh carbs. It will be back in blackie at Rockingham. I am running the blue car in USE too. I ran a second best 1/8th pass at Piedmont of 7.93. I made some changes and am working with Jersy Joe to get my pig going.

your pass was 10.85 was that in the 1/8.

yes, and don't get excited I have 2 cars. That is my sportsman car with a stock carbed 1776
