I will put together a new engine to the next summer i hope. I'm a little curious what you guys have in your engines. I put up a list so you can copy.



  • Case, New aluminum or stock magnesium AS21 style, manufacture

  • Crank shaft, manufacture, model and size

  • Rods, manufacture, model and length

  • Piston and cylinder, manufacture and size

  • Cylinder heads, manufacture size on valve springs, cylinder compression

  • Push rods, manufacture and material

  • Rockers, manufacture and ratio

  • Camshafts, manufacture and model

  • Lifters, manufacture and model

  • Oilpump, manufacture and model

  • Carburettor, manufacture, model and size on venturi

  • Exhausts, manufacture, model and size on the pipes


Maybe have I forgot something, but if you know something funny or interesting that I have missed just continue on the list.

I think I might get in trouble if I responded since I would be using the words Type IV frequently!!!!! - I am worried that the site might implode if I were to post such information here although I did notice that Overspray has a Type IV oil cooler!!!!

Do you have some kind of rollers that spin your front wheel on the Bug when it's loaded on your queen trailer, driving around ?

I guess it must be OK if you just change the ball bearing on the front wheels. That is the only thing that have bin used.
